Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EgyGuests Egypt website, mobile applications, and WhatsApp Business channel (collectively, the "Platform") and any service booked through them. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

  • "Platform" — the EgyGuests website, apps and connected channels.
  • "Customer" / "You" — a natural or legal person who books or attempts to book a service.
  • "Vendor" / "Service Provider" — a vetted independent contractor or agency that delivers the booked service.
  • "Booking" — a confirmed request for a service, evidenced by a quote ID and a card pre-authorisation.
  • "Visit" — a single physical attendance by a Vendor at the address you specified.
  • "Operations" — EgyGuests' staff team that confirms scope, dispatches Vendors and resolves disputes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter a binding contract under Egyptian law, and acting on your own behalf or with explicit authority to bind the property owner. By using the Platform you represent and warrant the same.

3. Booking lifecycle

  • Quote. Prices on the website are starting prices. Operations issues a final quote within 30 minutes during operating hours (07:00–23:00 Cairo time). Quotes are valid for 24 hours unless stated otherwise.
  • Pre-authorisation. Once you accept a quote, we pre-authorise (hold) the estimated amount on your card via our processor. No funds are captured at this stage.
  • Dispatch. A Vendor is dispatched with the agreed scope and tools. ETA is communicated on WhatsApp.
  • Completion proof. The Vendor uploads photo evidence of work completed.
  • Capture. The final amount (which may be lower, equal to, or — only with your explicit consent — higher than the pre-authorised amount) is captured. You receive an invoice.

4. Pricing & payment

  • All prices are quoted in Egyptian pounds (EGP). USD figures shown alongside are indicative only and do not constitute a fixed exchange rate.
  • Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay (via Paymob), and cash (capped per visit and per day at our then-current limit; EgyGuests reserves the right to refuse cash).
  • Where the scope materially changes during a Visit, the Vendor will pause work and Operations will obtain your explicit consent before any additional charge.

5. Cancellations, no-shows & rescheduling

  • Free cancellation up to 2 hours before the scheduled Visit start time. The pre-authorisation is released within 5–10 business days (timing controlled by your card issuer).
  • Late cancellation (≤ 2 hours) — 50 % of the quote is captured to compensate the Vendor's lost slot.
  • No-show — the full quote is captured.
  • Vendor no-show — full release of the pre-authorisation, plus a re-booking voucher worth 15 % of the original quote (issued within 24 hours).

6. Your obligations

  • Provide accurate, complete information (address, access code, pets, hazards).
  • Be present, or arrange a trusted representative, throughout the Visit if not delivering keys via building staff.
  • Secure valuables. EgyGuests is not insured against loss of cash, jewellery, watches, original artwork, or single items declared at > 10,000 EGP.
  • Not solicit Vendors to perform work outside the Platform during the duration of the contract + 6 months. Liquidated damages of 50 % of one month's average billing apply per breach.

7. Vendor standards

  • All Vendors are ID-verified before joining the Platform.
  • Photo evidence is mandatory at the start and end of every Visit.
  • Vendors carry liability insurance up to 50,000 EGP per incident, underwritten by our partner insurer.
  • Vendors are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship between EgyGuests and any Vendor.

8. Liability

EgyGuests' aggregate liability to you for any single Visit shall not exceed the higher of (i) the Visit value, or (ii) 50,000 EGP, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, where statutory limits apply. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or rental income.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Egyptian law (including, without limitation, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

9. Disputes & escalation

  • Raise the dispute on WhatsApp within 48 hours of Visit completion. Operations responds within 30 minutes during operating hours.
  • If unresolved, the dispute is escalated to the Resolution Manager within 3 business days.
  • Final EgyGuests decision is binding for capture / refund decisions, without prejudice to your statutory rights.
  • You may also file a complaint with the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency (CPA).

10. Account suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access without notice if we reasonably believe you (a) breached these Terms, (b) attempted to defraud the Platform, a Vendor or another customer, or (c) endangered a Vendor's safety. Lawful pre-authorisations are released; lawful captures stand.

11. Intellectual property

EgyGuests, the EgyGuests logo, "Master Guardian — Vetted Trust" and the orange-on-white visual identity are trademarks of EgyGuests Egypt. All site content, code and designs are © EgyGuests Egypt. You may not copy, frame, scrape or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

12. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including (without limitation) natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, internet or electricity outages, or pandemics.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for 30 days. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the competent courts of Giza, except that EgyGuests may bring proceedings in any jurisdiction where you are domiciled to enforce a judgment.
